Realizing that I was a designer and not an artist was a real lightbulb moment. The problem-solving aspect of design is much more rewarding to me. I finally understood that although aesthetic beauty will always be important, design is first and foremost about communication. That said, I enjoy the challenge of coupling the two.

My name is Jacquie Parker and my abilities as an integrated designer stem from a creative curiosity exercised through educational, design and life experience. I’ve worked for shoe designers in Manhattan and Italy, promotion and advertising agencies in New York, Seattle, and Providence, and interior/graphic design clients throughout New England.

I spent six years at my first corporate design position at Hasbro, Inc. I enhanced my skills as a cross-functional thinker by embracing the changing landscape of branding while collaborating with so many talented people, several of whom remain dear friends and collaborators. Becoming the brand creative lead for the Play-Doh team and delving into the development and manifestation of authentic brand purpose has been one of the most meaningful chapters of my career.

Returning to my own studio will allow me to forge one-on-one client relationships and solve a wide range of unique challenges, crucial aspects of the design process I missed while in the corporate world.
